Dr. Udy uses imaging and digital tools to better understand the treatment area, explain what she sees, and plan selected procedures. These records can also support coordination with a dentist or orthodontist when care involves more than one provider.

The technology selected depends on the area being evaluated and the treatment being considered. Not every patient needs every type of imaging or scanning.

CS 9300 Cone Beam CT Imaging

Cone beam computed tomography, often called CBCT or 3D imaging, creates detailed views of selected oral and maxillofacial structures. The CS 9300 system allows the team to choose a field of view that matches the area being examined.

Dr. Udy may use CBCT information to assess impacted teeth, bone dimensions, implant sites, sinus anatomy, jaw relationships, and nearby structures. The images can also make it easier to explain findings during a consultation.

Digital Intraoral Scanning

A digital intraoral scanner records the shape of the teeth and surrounding structures without relying only on traditional impressions. Scans may support restorative coordination, surgical guide planning, or the creation of records for selected implant cases.

Photogrammetry for Full-Arch Implant Planning

Photogrammetry uses a camera-based system to record the position of multiple dental implants. In selected full-arch cases, this information can help the restorative and surgical teams coordinate the fit and position of a prosthesis.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic imaging provides a broad two-dimensional view of the teeth and jaws. It may be used to evaluate tooth development, wisdom teeth, missing teeth, bone levels, and other areas that need a wider view.

Will I need a CBCT scan?

Not necessarily. Dr. Udy recommends imaging based on the reason for your visit and whether existing records provide enough information.

Can images be shared with my dentist or orthodontist?

When coordination is needed, we can share appropriate records with your referring or restorative provider.

Does technology determine the treatment plan?

No. Imaging and digital records provide information, but treatment recommendations are based on the examination, health history, diagnosis, and discussion with Dr. Udy.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I'm not going to lie, I had my wisdom teeth removed today and I don't remember much (which I'm honestly totally okay with!). The few moments of lucidity I did have however were filled with the nicest staff members and they were especially kind to me when I got nauseous and threw up. From the front desk staff to all of the assistants/nurses and Dr. Udy herself, I felt very cared for and would highly recommend them all to anyone!
