Preoperative Instructions

A SPECIAL REMINDER TO ALL OF OUR PATIENTS HAVING GENERAL ANESTESIA

1. Nothing to eat or Drink for six (6) hours prior to surgery. All necessary medications may be taken with a sip of water. 2. No fingernail polish, acrylic or sculptured nails
3. A short sleeve shirt should be worn on day of surgery in order to easily access an intravenous line.
4. No sandals, clogs, slip-on shoes or any shoes that may be difficult to walk.
5. If you are taking medications, have any health problems, or should be
pre-medicated with antibiotics due to pre existing conditions, please contact your physician prior to your date of surgery.
6. If you are taking medications, please bring a current list with you.
7. A responsible driver must accompany you and should stay in our office
during the surgery
